After completing a master's degree at the Tokyo Institute of Technology's Graduate School of Science and Engineering, he worked at Dentsu International Information Services (currently Dentsu Research Institute) and PwC Consulting, where he engaged in consulting work on the advancement of concurrent engineering and supply chain planning for the high-tech and manufacturing industries.

After that, he moved to the financial industry, and in the early 2000s he was involved in a project involving a major e-commerce company and a bank to establish an online-only bank.He was also involved in a number of consulting services related to newly established financial services, including support for online-only financial institutions and non-financial institutions to enter the financial business, and support for the establishment of funds transfer companies. On the other hand, at traditional financial institutions such as megabanks, in addition to consulting services such as the sophistication of system risk management and security risk management, he also engages in consulting services related to the sophistication of various internal controls, internal audits, and risk management systems, such as Basel risk management (market, market, operational risk management, etc.), BCP/BCM sophistication, FATCA compliance, AML/CFT compliance, etc. From March 2024, he will serve as a director on the audit and supervisory committee of bitFlyer Holdings Co., Ltd. and bitFlyer Co., Ltd., and from July 2024, he will serve as an auditor of Custodiem Co., Ltd.
