Yuzo Kano

After completing his studies at the University of Tokyo's Graduate School of Engineering, he worked at Goldman Sachs Securities Co., Ltd., and co-founded bitFlyer Co., Ltd. in 2014. Since the founding of bitFlyer, he has worked hard to make recommendations regarding domestic legal reforms for crypto assets and formulate self-regulatory rules, and has also served as CEO of bitFlyer USA, Inc., a crypto asset exchange, and chairman of bitFlyer EUROPE S.A. Contributing to the development of the crypto asset exchange industry from a global perspective. In 2018, the Japan Virtual Currency Exchange Association (General Incorporated Association) (currently the Japan Cryptocurrency Exchange Association (JVCEA)), a self-regulatory organization, was established as the founder. He also attended the Executive Committee of the Basic Plan for Promoting Public and Private Sector Data Utilization sponsored by the Cabinet Secretariat as an expert.

Currently serves as CEO of bitFlyer Holdings Inc., CEO of bitFlyer Inc., bitFlyer Blockchain Inc., Director of bitFlyer USA, Inc., Director of Custodiem Inc., and Representative Director of Japan Blockchain Association (JBA).

In addition, he also serves as a member of the ISO/TC307 domestic deliberation committee and an opinion leader at the Ministry of Defense, and is actively working to develop the web3 industry in various situations in order to realize bitFlyer's mission since its founding: "Make the world easier with blockchain."
