Risk Management (Manager / Member)
Background
As one of Japan's leading crypto asset exchanges, bitFlyer is building the advanced risk management framework required of a financial institution amid growing trading volume and changing market conditions. In particular, to respond to external factors such as market fluctuations and fund inflows and outflows, we need to strengthen our ability to quantitatively and strategically manage and analyze market risk, liquidity risk, credit risk, and other risks. In this position, we are looking for someone to work at the core of risk management, analyzing and monitoring various risks and advancing our risk management practice.
Responsibilities
Measuring, analyzing, and reporting market risk (price fluctuation risk, etc.) for crypto assets and fiat currencies
Monitoring liquidity risk based on customer asset balances and trading volume, and planning management measures
Assessing and managing credit risk for cover-trade counterparties and financial institutions
Monitoring and reporting financial soundness indicators such as the capital adequacy ratio
Designing and conducting stress tests and scenario analysis
Preparing risk reports for management
Working with the treasury, accounting, and operations divisions to build the data infrastructure and improve operations
Providing risk information and preparing materials for regulatory reporting and audits

- Required Skills & Experience
■Japanese (native level)
■Hands-on experience managing market risk, liquidity risk, or credit risk at a financial institution, audit firm, consulting firm, or similar (3+ years)- Preferred Skills & Experience
■English (business level)
■Quantitative analysis skills for market risk or liquidity risk
■Data analysis skills using Excel, BI tools, etc. (functions, pivot tables, etc.)
■Experience preparing internal risk reports and documents submitted to authorities
■Risk management experience in highly volatile markets such as crypto assets, derivatives, and foreign exchange
■Knowledge of statistical and mathematical models and stress testing
■Experience preparing reports for the Financial Services Agency (capital adequacy ratio reports, etc.)
■Business-level English (for collaboration with overseas offices and partners)
■Certifications such as CFA, FRM, or Certified Member Analyst of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan- Who We Are Looking For

- Salary
■Expected annual salary: ¥6,000,000–¥12,000,000
※Includes a fixed overtime allowance for 45 hours per month
※Determined based on experience, skills, and most recent annual compensation
■Monthly salary breakdown
Base salary: ¥369,800–¥739,800
Fixed overtime allowance: ¥130,200–¥260,200 (for 45 hours)
※If fixed overtime hours are exceeded, additional premium pay is provided for overtime, late-night, and holiday work
※Performance-based bonuses are paid separately- Working Hours
■Employment type: Full-time (no fixed term)
■Probation period: 6 months (no change in working conditions during probation)
■Working hours: 9:00–18:00 (flextime system; core time 10:00–16:00)
■Break: 60 minutes (provided during working hours)
