Network Engineer (Manager / Member)
Background
bitFlyer is bringing network operations, previously outsourced, in house to further strengthen security and improve operational efficiency. To keep pace with future system expansion and more sophisticated risk management, we are hiring engineers to take charge of network design, construction, and operations in house.
Responsibilities
Designing, building, and operating networks in on-premises and cloud environments
Configuring and tuning network equipment such as firewalls, switches, and routers
Troubleshooting network failures, analyzing root causes, and planning measures to prevent recurrence
Introducing and operating monitoring tools, and responding to alerts
Requirements definition, design, and vendor negotiation for new projects and the replacement of existing infrastructure
Scope of change in duties: After joining, you may be reassigned to any duties designated by the company.
- Required Skills & Experience
■Japanese (native level)
■Experience designing, building, and operating networks as a network engineer (3+ years)
■Experience configuring and operating major network equipment such as Cisco and Juniper
■Basic knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and HTTPS- Preferred Skills & Experience
■English (business level)
■Experience designing and operating networks in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
■Experience introducing and operating VPNs, load balancers, WAFs, and similar technologies
■Experience operating large-scale or mission-critical networks
■Experience building and operating infrastructure for financial systems or in the crypto asset domain- Who We Are Looking For

- Salary
■Expected annual salary: ¥6,000,000–¥12,000,000
※Includes a fixed overtime allowance for 45 hours per month
※Determined based on experience, skills, and most recent annual compensation
■Monthly salary breakdown
Base salary: ¥369,800–¥739,800
Fixed overtime allowance: ¥130,200–¥260,200 (for 45 hours)
※If fixed overtime hours are exceeded, additional premium pay is provided for overtime, late-night, and holiday work
※Performance-based bonuses are paid separately- Working Hours
■Employment type: Full-time (no fixed term)
■Probation period: 6 months (no change in working conditions during probation)
■Working hours: 9:00–18:00 (flextime system; core time 10:00–16:00)
■Break: 60 minutes (provided during working hours)
■Overtime work: Yes
