Security Engineer (Manager / Member)
Background
As our business grows and our systems become more sophisticated, bitFlyer is building a stronger, more strategic security posture. Initiatives to prevent internal and external risks — including strengthening product security and handling audits — are more important than ever. In this position, we are looking for an engineer who can apply advanced technical skills and security expertise to strengthen the security framework that underpins safe, reliable service operations.
Responsibilities
Security reviews of web applications and infrastructure
Planning, executing, and analyzing the results of security risk assessments and vulnerability assessments
Responding to security incidents and formulating and executing measures to prevent recurrence
Handling external and internal audits and maintaining and operating security guidelines
Driving security awareness and education in collaboration with internal engineers and related departments
Scope of change in duties: After joining, you may be reassigned to any duties designated by the company.
- Required Skills & Experience
■Japanese (business level)
■Hands-on experience in security work for web applications or infrastructure (3+ years)- Preferred Skills & Experience
■English (business level)
■Experience designing and operating security in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
■Experience introducing and operating security tools such as WAF, SIEM, and IDS/IPS
■Experience formulating and operating security rules and guidelines
■Experience preparing documentation for security reviews and audits
■Experience with security measures in the financial industry or crypto asset domain
■Business communication skills in English (e.g., experience collaborating with overseas teams)
■Certifications such as Registered Information Security Specialist, CISSP, or CISA- Who We Are Looking For

- Salary
■Expected annual salary: ¥6,000,000–¥12,000,000
※Includes a fixed overtime allowance for 45 hours per month
※Determined based on experience, skills, and most recent annual compensation
■Monthly salary breakdown
Base salary: ¥369,800–¥739,800
Fixed overtime allowance: ¥130,200–¥260,200 (for 45 hours)
※If fixed overtime hours are exceeded, additional premium pay is provided for overtime, late-night, and holiday work
※Performance-based bonuses are paid separately- Working Hours
■Employment type: Full-time (no fixed term)
■Probation period: 6 months (no change in working conditions during probation)
■Working hours: 9:00–18:00 (flextime system; core time 10:00–16:00)
■Break: 60 minutes (provided during working hours)
