Engineering Manager
Background
With the continuous expansion of our crypto asset services and accelerating global growth, bitFlyer is strengthening the management structure of its development organization. In this position, we are looking for an engineering manager who can raise the productivity of the engineering division and the collaboration between teams, driving business growth from both the technology and organizational sides.
Responsibilities
Setting operating policies for engineering teams and managing resources
Driving collaboration between the system development and SRE departments and building and running the organizational structure
Deciding priorities in product development and formulating development plans
Planning and executing engineer development, evaluation, and hiring plans
Driving the reduction of technical debt and improvements to the development process
Fostering an engineering culture and driving initiatives to raise team performance

- Required Skills & Experience
■Japanese (business level)
■English (business level)
■Hands-on software development experience, engineering team management experience, and experience with requirements definition or development leadership in product development (5+ years in each)- Preferred Skills & Experience
■Hands-on experience in organizational management and resource allocation
■Strong communication skills for negotiating and coordinating with stakeholders
■Knowledge of or hands-on experience with agile development (Scrum, etc.)
■Experience operating and maintaining large-scale services
■Knowledge of and experience in infrastructure domains (SRE, cloud, containers, etc.)

- Salary
■Expected annual salary: ¥9,000,000–¥18,000,000
※Includes a fixed overtime allowance for 45 hours per month
※Determined based on experience, skills, and most recent annual compensation
■Monthly salary breakdown
Base salary: ¥554,800–¥1,109,700
Fixed overtime allowance: ¥195,200–¥390,300 (for 45 hours)
※If fixed overtime hours are exceeded, additional premium pay is provided for overtime, late-night, and holiday work
※Performance-based bonuses are paid separately- Working Hours
■Employment type: Full-time (no fixed term)
■Probation period: 6 months (no change in working conditions during probation)
■Working hours: 9:00–18:00 (flextime system; core time 10:00–16:00)
■Break: 60 minutes (provided during working hours)
