Legal & Compliance (Director / Manager)

Background
As the crypto asset market grows, the relevant laws and regulations are rapidly becoming more sophisticated and complex. In light of its global business expansion, the bitFlyer group is further strengthening its response to financial regulations in Japan and overseas and building a more advanced governance framework. In this environment, we are looking for a Director candidate who can oversee the compliance division and drive company-wide governance enhancements.
Responsibilities
Researching financial laws and regulations and formulating internal response policies
Responding to compliance inquiries from other divisions and group companies and providing advisory support
Reviewing advertising content and confirming regulatory compliance
Monitoring the segregated management of customer assets and strengthening controls
Strengthening the customer protection framework through complaint handling and analysis
Maintaining and managing internal rules and manuals
Planning and delivering compliance training (for new hires, company-wide, etc.)
Handling matters with authorities and industry associations (incident notifications, preparing and submitting business improvement reports, etc.)
Coordinating with, responding to, and building relationships with the Financial Services Agency, Local Finance Bureaus, and other relevant authorities
Scope of change in duties: After joining, you may be reassigned to any duties designated by the company.
- Required Skills & Experience
■Japanese (native level)
■Work experience at a financial institution such as a crypto asset exchange, securities firm, or bank, including hands-on experience in compliance or AML/CFT-related work (5+ years)- Preferred Skills & Experience
■English (business level)
■Experience handling inspections by the Financial Services Agency or other authorities
■A track record of improving operations in environments where manuals and rules were not yet fully established
■Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating across divisions
■Holders of relevant certifications such as CAMS, CIA, CISA, or the AML/CFT Standard
■Hands-on legal or compliance experience at a Type I financial instruments business operator- Who We Are Looking For

- Salary
■Expected annual salary: ¥9,000,000–¥18,000,000
※Includes a fixed overtime allowance for 45 hours per month
※Determined based on experience, skills, and most recent annual compensation
■Monthly salary breakdown
Base salary: ¥554,800–¥1,109,700
Fixed overtime allowance: ¥195,200–¥390,300 (for 45 hours)
※If fixed overtime hours are exceeded, additional premium pay is provided for overtime, late-night, and holiday work
※Performance-based bonuses are paid separately- Working Hours
■Employment type: Full-time (no fixed term)
■Probation period: 6 months (no change in working conditions during probation)
■Working hours: 9:00–18:00 (flextime system; core time 10:00–16:00)
■Break: 60 minutes (provided during working hours)
